Export all 88 pages together
Open the workbook and choose PDF Print. When available, use the PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4 preset so transparency is handled correctly while vector text stays sharp and every font remains embedded. Save the pages in final order as one continuous file.
Preserve the original cover
Use the original blue-and-terracotta illustrated cover with the flowing signal artwork and central figure. Extend that established design across the back cover and spine in one continuous layout, then export as PDF Print using the final KDP template and a CMYK print workflow.
Keep the placement area clear
Before export, confirm that a completely blank 2 × 1.2 inch area remains in the lower-right corner of the back cover. Do not place text, logos, reviews, or important artwork where KDP will add the barcode.

The final file will use embedded fonts and writing-safe fields. For 24–150 pages, KDP’s current minimum inside margin is 0.375 inches. Full-bleed pages require 0.125 inches beyond the top, bottom, and outside trim edges.

The wraparound cover will be generated from the final trim size, page count, ink, and paper selections. At 88 pages, spine text is permitted, but its exact width changes with the production choice.

Recommended path: purchase and register an author-owned ISBN. Use the proposed imprint The Choice Signal Press only after that exact name is registered with the ISBN agency. This preserves a professional publisher identity and allows the same ISBN-defined print edition to be used with publishing services beyond KDP.
Free. The imprint displays as “Independently published.” That ISBN can only be used through KDP.
Paid. The registered imprint appears as publisher, and the same edition can be published through compatible outside services.
An ISBN controls the identity of a specific edition; it does not transfer Dollara Mohamed’s copyright or ownership of the book to Amazon.

Exactly 88 continuous pages, fonts embedded, transparent effects flattened where needed, no crop marks, and a minimum 0.375-inch inside margin. Edge-to-edge art extends 0.125 inches beyond the top, bottom, and outside trim edges.
One continuous back-cover, spine, and front-cover file built from the final trim size, page count, ink, and paper choice. Images are at least 300 DPI and cover bleed extends 0.125 inches beyond every outside edge.
Reserve the lower-right back-cover area for KDP placement. The suggested barcode size is 2 × 1.2 inches on white, with no text, logo, review, or important image underneath it.
Clear every Print Previewer warning, then inspect a physical proof for gutter comfort, writing space, color, page order, legibility, trim, and binding.
FINAL PDF EXPORT SEQUENCE
Preserve the design.
Do not rasterize the book.
Use a print-ready PDF preset—such as PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4 when supported by the design software and compatible with the chosen print workflow. Embed every font and flatten transparency effects where required, while keeping text and vector lines crisp. Turning every page into one flat image can soften type, inflate the file, and remove useful structure.
- Export one continuous print-quality PDF in final page order.
- Embed every font and preserve vector text and form lines.
- Use grayscale only if the interior is truly black and white; otherwise use the final print workflow’s supported color profile.
- Flatten transparency effects—not the entire document into page images.
- Confirm the 0.375-inch inside margin and required bleed before export.
- Remove crop marks, color bars, template notes, and printer guides.
- Export one print-quality PDF: back cover, spine, then front cover.
- Build from KDP’s template for the final trim size, 88 pages, ink, and paper.
- Use print-ready color and images at a minimum of 300 DPI.
- Flatten cover transparencies and embed all fonts.
- Extend the background through the 0.125-inch cover bleed.
- Keep the barcode placement area free of important content.

Verified production notes
If the final edition uses black ink on white paper, KDP’s spine formula is page count × 0.002252 inches—about 0.198 inches at 88 pages. Cream or color paper uses a different formula, so the cover will not be locked until those choices are final.
